The desert is a hard environment to live in because of hot weather and the rare resources of water . Beduins adapted to the desert so they started to dig wells and look for any source of water . The second benefit of wells besides water is they can guide or navigat through the desert . In order to find a perfect digging spot for a well they followed bird flight or looked vegetation .They chose one man to do the job with his own bare hands,it took maybe 3 to 4 months to finish the job. They named the well after his name to honour him. There is a substitute for water and its the milk of camels and goats . Bwduins can survive without water for maybe more than 24 hours because their bodies adjust through sweat.
